Loved the characters and the story. It drew me in so much that I laughed, I cried, and I felt what the characters felt. I felt especially close to the main character as he is an autistic hero and i too have an autistic son around the same age. It was an end of days book unlike any I have read before. A really excellent series. Could not put it down and have passed recommendation to several friends. Strong characters and supremely creative story. I read a lot of "end of world as we know it" books and this series among my very favorites.
Everyone should read this book especially those people familiar with autistic people. The imaginary insight into the mind of an autistic child will most definitely make you think twice when you meet such a person in life. The depth of Jaimies thinking will make you a believer. I will most definitely read this book again.
Excellent characters, above-average zombies, and unusual hero. Skilled author juggles well-developed heroes and villains in vivid scenes across countries and seasons. Not as scary as a Stephen King novel but all the threads came together well.
Robert Chazz Chute has a winner in This Plague of Days! This complex storyline injects real humanity into a dire situation - the end of the world as we know it. One of the most unique uses of a child who has a mental health issue (Autism/Asperger's) that is a blessing instead of a curse. Deep, complex characters that are easy to identify with, it is reminiscent of Stephen King's The Stand ... but very, very different. Humanity at its best and worst.
The Plague of Days, Omnibus Edition was a long, but satisfying read. Fantastic characters, surprising and shall I say shocking revelations. Unlike most books of this genre. Give this one a try, as I think you'll like it.
I wasn't so sure about this when I downloaded it. I figured it would be your typical run of the mill zombie book that are always so similar. But I was way wrong!
I absolutely loved this book! The story flowed great and it was wonderful how the characters developed and changed during the chaos of the story. It had lots of twists and turns that I did not expect. Action packed, suspenseful, emotional, and also joyful.

This is how the series stuck me, a mash up of ZA novels and "The Stand". There were some nice innovations, 3 apocalypse viruses, and th protagonist is an autistic boy that carries around a dictionary and spouts Latin phrases, all obliquely pertinent to the situation. I enjoyed the characters, reminded me of Steven King, and that's a high compliment. A long read ( 3 books in one, after all) but thoroughly enjoyable, give it a try.
