It’s one thing to wake up in a strange town with your pants on backwards. It’s quite another to do so sober. Frank is perplexed, and a little terrified. Less about the skinny gray monsters which haunt his dreams than of the possibility that they are aliens in real life, making him the sort of person who believes in them. Which doesn’t make sense, of course. If a species were smart enough to build intergalactic spaceships, surely they would be competent enough to return him to the same address they abduct him from? His sister Hillary is hungover on a bus, returning to her home town after a failed attempt at adult life. She notices what appears to be her college friend, but the man insists they have never met before. So do the next two doppelgangers she meets. Sephus is a farmer who loves conspiracy theories almost as much as a boom harvest of wheat, so he is thrilled when crop circles start popping up around town. His neighbor is less happy when he finds unexplained cattle mutilations on his ranch. Together they must all piece together how a serial killer, an extraterrestrial romance, and Frank’s intergalactic colonoscopies connect to a larger alien plot. And by doing so discover that aliens are just as bumbling as the human beings they suck up in spaceships.

Frank Got Abducted 9780989613118 Andrew Heaton Books Reviews
Very Funny Book. Found myself laughing all the way through. The author has a real skill for offbeat comedy. And the twist on an ole' fashion alien abduction make this one really stand out.
Honestly this wasn't funny at all. Anne Frank's diary is funnier than this. If you're looking for mindless dribble that leaves the reader literally wanting them to kill themselves, then pick up this book.
I was privileged enough to get a review copy of Mr. Heaton's excellent novel, which I highly recommend to any midwesterner with a fascination for humorous takes on alien abductions. Or anyone who enjoys funny novels for that matter.
The storyline is top-notch, and readers will appreciate the hard work of the writer in spinning an entertaining, readable tale.
A fast and fun read from one of NYC's funniest up and coming comics. Highly recommend.
As others have said, Frank Got Abducted is a charming, witty take on the sci-fi genre. The characters are endearing, and the book is an easy, pleasant read. I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a light, funny, escapist book. Here's hoping we get more books out of Mr. Heaton in the future.
Andrew Heaton's natural comedic charm shines through in his charming novel Frank Got Abducted. As the plot unfolds and the many colorful characters impart their individual wills, themes of love, loss, self-doubt, and fate come to the fore, commanding the reader's attention. On the surface, it's a story about alien abductions, set in crop-circle central and complete with all the standard tropes and stereotypes. In the end, however, Frank Got Abducted is a brilliant illustration of the absurdity, futility, and danger of the War on Drugs.
